2016 REUNION NEWS

November,2015

Greetings Top Tigers,

IT IS TIME TO GIVE SERIOUS CONSIDERATION TO JOINING YOUR FELLOW TOP TIGERS AT OUR NEXT REUNION!!!!

We are only nine months away from our next reunion in Boise, Idaho.  Just as a reminder the dates are August 18, 2016 to August 21, 2016.  These dates are a month earlier than in the past, but we believe they will work out extremely well.
Normal temperatures in Boise in August are quite comfortable and we will be there before the college students begin to arrive for the fall semester.

Our reunion hotel will be the Riverside Hotel, located at 2900 Chinden Blvd. on the Boise River Greenbelt which offers biking, jogging, or walking along the river.  The area offers numerous other activities.
Take a moment to visit the hotel’s website: www.riversideboise.com and see what the hotel has to offer.  The nightly room rate is $98.00 plus tax.
There is an on-site restaurant offering three meals a day, plus a sports bar serving drinks and appetizers.

The hotel is located just 10 miles from the Boise airport and offers free shuttle to and from the airport.  The hotel also has free on-site parking.
We will have a meeting room for our hospitality suite and will be able to furnish our own beverages.  The Saturday banquet will be on site in the hotel’s ballroom.

The reunion committee is looking at the possibility of one organized off-site event to the Warhawk Air Museum, which is located 15 miles west of Boise.  The museum has one of the original gunships from the 68th on display.
Besides touring the museum we are giving some thought to ending the tour with a barbecue lunch.  As always, your time at the reunion, it just that, your time, spend it however you want.
You can spend all your time visiting with your fellow Tigers, or join them for some local sightseeing.  The idea is to have a good time, no matter how you do it.

Besides the Warhawk Museum www.warhawkairmuseum.org there are several other interesting things to do in the Boise area.  The following is a list of some of the more popular places to go and things to do.
