Reunion is September 20th to 23rd in Marietta,
Georgia.
We are now down to
four months to this year's reunion in Marietta.
Your Executive Board has worked hard to make
this reunion one of the best and most memorable
of all the reunions. We are working with the
Marietta History Museum to use their heliport at
their Aviation Wing for the Huey Rides on
Saturday morning ($45 per person). The site is
located only a mile from the hotel, so between
car pooling and the hotel shuttle there will be
no cost to get to the heliport. The Aviation
Wing also has several military aircraft on
static display, including a Huey. For those
members wishing to play golf, there is an 18
hole course located right on the site of the
hotel. Should you choose not to participate in
either of these events there is plenty of time
to visit with your fellow Top Tigers in the
hospitality suite, or you can enjoy some time
sitting on the hotel's veranda or pool side,
both are great places to relax and meet with
friends. Better yet you can spend several hours
or the entire day visiting Marietta Square, with
a park surrounded by shops, museums, and
restaurants. Marietta Square is only a mile from
the hotel so it is a short drive or feel free to
use the hotel's free shuttle service.
In our effort to keep the cost
down we have reduced the registration fees for
both members and guests. Included in your room
cost ($119 for a standard room) is two free
breakfast buffet coupons for each night stay
between Wednesday and Saturday, which is an
additional $20 to $30 per day savings for each
couple. The Saturday night cocktail hour and
buffet dinner will be the highlight of the
reunion.
Also the "War Story" DVD's that
Ron Sheffield recorded at the 2010 Reunion will
be available at this year's reunion.
Over the next month we will be
finalizing some of our plans.
