Occupation: 1970 – 1987: Commercial helicopter pilot, flying BH-206s to BH –212/412 and SK-58Ts. Flew offshore, started Airlift for Life, one of California’s earliest EMS operations, and fought lots of fires. 1987 to present: FAA, Flight Standards Inspector. Principal Operations Inspector (POI) for Petroleum Helicopters and American Eagle. Currently the Operations Unit Supervisor at the Sacramento (CA) FSDO. Still flying helicopters and serving as an instructor and check pilot in the FAA’s King Air Flight Program.Family: Wendy, my wife of 35 years, and 3 Sammie's (dogs), Jet, Ranger, and Sierra. Hobbies:
