We welcome contributions of photos, stories, and information about unit members and their activities during the units years in Vietnam. All contributions need to be sent to one or both of the web masters of the site. We will make every effort to answer your email within 72 hours, usually within 24 hours. If you do not hear back from one of us within that time, please send your email again. We both have automatic Spam Mail software provided by our Internet Service Provider, and have little control of email messages put into those folders. We will respond to all messages. How to contribute a photo to the site. All photographs on the site are in JPG file image format and need to be contributed in that form where possible. Images may be emailed to one or both of the two web masters or mailed in disk or CD format. Contact the web master for postal address instructions on where to contribute through the mail service. Photos: All photos contributed to the site must be your property, they can not be another persons photo, even if you have permission to use it. We will add ownership information to each photo. This information includes your rank if in the military, first and last name, the unit assigned and date of the photo, best guess on date take is acceptable. We also encourage you to give us a short description of the events leading to the reason for the photo or a caption. This may be edited or shortened to fit the space available. What if I want to contribute photos but I do not have them in computer image format, or they are not saved as a jpg file. In this case contact Dennis Patterson at dpatters@68thahc.com and he will tell you how to get them in the proper format. This is often a very easy process. How do I contribute my Biography to the site: We would like to have a biography of ever member in the unit on the web site. We at this time are not space restricted as the number of biographies we can support, but we need to keep them to one page each. We would like two photos of the unit member submitted with each bio page. We would like the 1st photo to be of the unit member in uniform, preferably while in the unit. We would like the 2nd photo to be a current photo of the member, taken within the last 12 months, when possible. This photo may include members the persons family and/or interest. All photos are subject to cropping and editing by the site web master. The bio should be sent to Frans "Van" VandenBroek, the site editor. Frans will ensure the bio conforms to page size restrictions and make editorial corrections where necessary. In short he is the grammar and spell check software for the site. Bio Outline: The bio should cover three main areas, Your name, Then, & Now, but you are not restricted to the information listed below: For a reference see the bios already on the site under the sub-title Unit Personnel. Full Name: Your name will appear at the top of the page with your primary assignment, Pilot, Crew Chief, Gunner, Support Personnel, Etc. Also include any nicknames and/or call signs while in the unit.
