John Cooke served
as a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War. He flew with the Top
Tigers in 1967. After leaving the Army he taught history with the
University of Maryland (European Division), and then later at Brunswick

a cancer of the lining of the
lung, is caused by exposure to

long dormancy periods,
mesothelioma and other
asbestos-related diseases can
remain undetected for over a
